![]() Conversely if I am 25/50 for example I might lose 15-20 points and that is just ludicrous if I cant even gain that amount of points for winning any comp. Based on my formula with over 1000 comps played (just a guess because no one really knows how it works) I will only ever get 13 points for winning a comp (1st place) that has more than 50 people. Also the scale needs to be adjusted because as it is now is just non-sensical. ![]() This is one reason the top 100 list is inaccurate and misleading. But if you know about this loophole early on or before you start playing comps it is a huge advantage in being able to manipulate the ratings system. ![]() I had played over 700 comps before I knew about this loophole because it is not common knowledge and many players utilizing it do not want to share because ultimately it will help other players climb the top 100 quickly. Obviously no one would assume that after you play in a competition it is possible to empty your net as if you have never played the comp at all. But the biggest problem of all is the concept of emptying your net and not getting charged for playing the comp. Keep the all time top 100 if needed but a yearly or monthly list should be added that is more representative of whats going on in the game currently since the dynamics and competition level have changed over time. There needs to be an updated list that is more current and not just one comprehensive list for everyone that has ever played the game over the span of the game's existence. Everyone should know exactly why they received the ratings points they did after a comp by being able to reference some scale or chart. After you play for a while you can approximate but it shouldn't be guesswork. There is no transparency as to how the ratings are calculated and the scale should be publicized. Devs: The competition ratings system needs a complete overhaul and update.
